Hiiii my cutie little squirrels!
Today’s episode is a juicy one.
I’m sharing everything from life hacks to the hard truths, because let’s be real — 30 years is plenty of time to collect wisdom.
(And bruised lemons.)
(That’ll make sense later.)
So, without further ado, here’s the full list:
1. Your body doesn’t know the difference between nerves and excitement.
Trick your brain into flipping nerves into excitement — it’s much easier than trying to calm down.
2. If you don’t ask, the answer is always no.
Shoot your shot. Whether it’s in business or life, the worst thing that can happen is you’re right back where you started.
3. You cannot make anyone do anything.
No matter how hard you try, you can’t change people. They have to want it for themselves.
4. Someone else’s opinion of you is none of your business.
What other people think of you says more about them than it does about you.
5. You are allowed to change your mind.
You’re not tied to past decisions or beliefs. Growth is good.
6. Give yourself grace.
You’re human, not a productivity robot. You don’t need a special occasion to start over — reset anytime.
7. You can choose your mood.
Thanks to my mom, Gail, I learned early on: You decide if you’ll have a good or bad day. Your mindset is everything.
8. However you work is okay.
What works for your brain is valid. Don’t force yourself into systems or strategies that don’t fit.
9. Your mindset about money will dictate your success.
If you believe you’re bad with money, you’ll stay stuck. Work on your money mindset like it’s any other skill.
10. Bite-sized tasks make everything doable.
Start small, like washing one dish, and watch how the momentum builds.
11. If you think you can pull it off, you can.
Confidence is the key ingredient to pulling off anything — style, business moves, life.
12. Pair one expensive piece with one inexpensive piece.
This is my go-to style tip. It instantly elevates an outfit without breaking the bank.
13. The thing you’re putting off will take two seconds.
Seriously. Swallow the frog. It’s never as bad as you think.
14. Learn to make lemonade with bruised lemons.
If life hands you rough situations, use them. They’ll teach you more than smooth sailing ever could.
15. Rejection is redirection.
Every “no” is a nudge toward a better “yes.”
16. Boundaries are everything.
Your sanity should never come second to your bank account. Protect your energy.
17. You can’t drink the poison and expect someone else to die.
Holding onto resentment only hurts you. Let it go.
18. Your availability and your capacity are not the same.
Just because you can doesn’t mean you should.
19. You don’t always get to have context.
Not everything is about you. People’s behavior usually reflects what’s going on in their lives.
20. People aren’t thinking about you as much as you think they are.
Nobody cares about your messy hair or cringe reel as much as you do.
21. Nothing is cringe.
Speaking of cringe, the only cringe thing is worrying about being cringe. Do your thing.
22. You don’t have to wait until Monday.
Start whenever. Time is fake.
23. Changed plans aren’t the end of the world.
Flexibility is your best friend.
24. You can’t expect you in someone else.
People will never show up the way you would, and that’s okay.
25. You can’t date for potential.
That potential you see is just a reflection of what you would do in their shoes.
26. You will fade from some friends, but the ones that matter will remain.
Friendship is seasonal. Don’t force connections that have naturally run their course.
27. There are two types of friends: the reach-out friend and the reached-out-to friend.
Know which one you are — and which one your friends are. Adjust your expectations accordingly.
28. Always have coffee and snacks on hand.
Be the house people want to stop by, even if it’s just for leftovers.
29. Time heals more than you think.
You’ll move on from heartbreak, failure, and disappointment faster than you think.
30. What you’re not changing, you’re choosing.
Ouch, right? If you’re staying in a situation you hate, you’re choosing it. Change is always an option.
